When I was a kid growing up in the 1980’s, it was common to attend birthday parties at local arcades. Parents would shuffle in their kids with presents and we’d have free reign to play unlimited rounds of classic games like Spy Hunter, Out Run and After Burner. Usually, the arcade had a few folding tables in back with some pizza and ice cream, but I wasn’t interested in food (despite having to shop in the “husky” section). I was there to play games!
A friend of mine recently sent me a link to an article about a pretty serious looking F1 Simulator made by a company called FMGC International. It turns out that FGMC will plan F1 “themed” events. They can arrange for the simulator, catering and even some F1 personalities to attend along with a few real F1 cars that were previously used in racing/testing. It got me thinking…if I had the means, this would make for an AMAZING party for my car-crazed buddies. It looks like they cater mostly to corporate events, but I’m sure they would do my birthday party for a price…why not? So, yeah, I’ll start saving my pennies now!
Check out the links below for details on the game and the company!
